Uintah Resilience Archway

Designer, Fundraiser, & Project Manager

Completed Nov. 2022

The Uintah Resilience Arch began when Brant was Student Body President at Uintah High School. For over 60 years Uintah had an archway that adorned the entrance of the school but was removed due to renovations. Brant decided to reconstruct a new one, that fit the newly remodeled school's design but also paid homage to the tradition of the original arch. On the condition that Brant could raise the money the school would allow it to be constructed. Brant fundraised and sought individual's willing to donate their services to complete the $100,000 archway.

Founder

Began 2020

With the creation of the archway, Brant felt a need to also help provide help to those students who embody the incredible principle of resilience. Brant has always been a people centric individual and while serving as Student Body President he began the precedence to meet with the school counselors each week to talk about the well being of the students. Through that, and many other experiences, Brant recognized that many of the current scholarships go to those who have the lives to accommodate the high academic and extracurricular achievement. There were too many students who have to work multiple jobs, have incredible health issues, or have to help raise their siblings not allowing them the time for a 4.0 or involvement in school. Brant created the Resilient Scholarship so that those students who have pressed forward, regardless of the hand they were dealt, could be helped to forward their education.

Currently the Resilient Scholarship has provided four $1,200 scholarship so to graduating seniors. These scholarships are funded by kind donors. If you would like to donate, please contact Brant Johnson directly.
